Houston Texans 10-4-0
New York Jets 4-10-0

Game Recap: NEW YORK-Sam Darnold the rookie faced the sophomore Deshaun Watson. Houston had a chance to separate themselves with a road win in New York.

J.J. Watt sacked Darnold in the first quarter. He stopped Elijah McGuire in the second quarter after Houston got a field goal to gain a 6-3 lead. Enough bashing the New York Jets kicker who shall remain nameless. Houston got a field goal. Houston gained a 19-15 lead.

New York responded with a 15-play 75-yard drive that lasted 7 minutes and 33 seconds in the fourth quarter. Elijah McGuire would score the go-ahead touchdown. Two third down conversions by Sam Darnold and a fourth down conversion by Sam Darnold were what allowed the New York Jets to keep their drive alive against the Houston Texans. It's scary to think about how good the Jets will be once they build a competent offense around Darnold. New York led 22-19.

Deshaun Watson put another drive together. Watson threw another touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins. Houston took a 26-22 lead. New York had a turnover. Houston got a field goal off of that. Houston led 29-22. New York had one more chance to score and tie the game. Back-to-back four and out stops by the Houston Texans defense allowed Houston to narrowly pull out a 29-22 win which was too close for comfort.

Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was the player of this game. DeAndre Hopkins had 10 receptions, 170 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. Hopkins torched both Trumaine Johnson and Morris Claiborne in coverage having a huge day scoring on both of the New York Jets cornerbacks.

Cleveland Browns 5-7-1
Denver Broncos 6-7-0

Game Recap: DENVER-Cleveland did not have Denzel Ward. Denver did not have Chris Harris. Cleveland did not have Phillip Gaines their number two cornerback and Denver did not have rookie Isaac Yiadom. Neither team had their top ranked cornerback. Whoever lost this game was out of the playoffs.

Myles Garrett had an awesome opening series really stepping up for the Cleveland Browns even without their top two cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Phillip Gaines.

Baker Mayfield caught Denver off guard with a fake screen pass before throwing it to Jarvis Landry. Bradley Roby made a fantaastic second down stop.

Baker Mayfield threw a touchdown to a true Brown known as Breshad Perriman, the former Ravens 2015 first round pick defected from Baltimore only to sign with the original Cleveland Browns not named the Baltimore Ravens. Cleveland struck first and led 7-0.

Denver settled for another field goal. Cleveland led 17-16. Case Keenum was able to delay Denver's defeat by throwing a completion to Devonta Booker on fourth and two for a fifteen yard gain. Once Denver got to midfield their fate was sealed. Cleveland held Denver to a four and out from that point. Jabrill Peppers got the game winning sack.

Jabrill Peppers was my player of the game. He got the game-winning sack plus he intercepted Case Keenum in the end zone in order to prevent a Denver touchdown. The way Peppers played tonight stood out on tape. The way he blitzed, the way he covered, the way he stepped up. That spoke volumes and it also kept the Browns season alive.

Khalil Mack the 3-4 right outside linebacker that Chicago traded for was my player of the game. Khalil Mack had 5 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 6 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 2 tackles for a loss. Mack was a disruptive force up front getting the best of left tackle David Bahktiari and 3-4 left outside linebacker Leonard Floyd dominated off the edge with Bryan Bulaga injured.

Detroit Lions 5-9-0
Buffalo Bills 5-9-0

Game Recap: BUFFALO-Detroit needed to win in Buffalo to keep their season alive. Buffalo decided to wear red versus Detroit.

Buffalo saw all of their running backs get injured in this game. The irony is they still pulled off a 14-13 win to defeat the Detroit Lions and eliminate them from the NFC Playoff race.

Josh Allen went 13/26 with 204 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Josh Allen did okay managing the game considering his lack of supporting cast offensively.

Tampa Bay Buccanneers 5-9-0
Baltimore Ravens 8-6-0

Game Recap: BALTIMORE-Both teams needed to win this game. Jameis Winston squared off with Lamar Jackson in Baltimore.

Neither team scored in the first quarter with the game being tied 0-0 after one quarter of play. Peyton Barber made it 6-0 in the second quarter, but Tampa Bay missed an extra point. Arizona Cardinals 3-11-0
Atlanta Falcons 5-9-0

Game Recap: ATLANTA-Deion Jones finally returned for Atlanta at middle linebacker. This felt like a pretty meaningless game for both teams.

Arizona's defense came to play early on the first two drives of this game. David Johnson got a rushing touchdown to give Arizona a 7-0 lead. Deion Jones intercepted Josh Rosen and tied the game at 7-7. Atlanta got a field goal and led 10-7 after one quarter of play.

Atlanta went on a 16-0 run in the second quarter. Matt Ryan made it 17-7 with a rushing touchdown. Matt Bryant kicked a 33-yard field goal giving Atlanta a 20-7 lead. Finally Mat Ryan, threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Julio Jones. The roughing the passer penalty against Chandler Jones didn't matter as Atlanta scored a touchdown despite missing the extra point. Atlanta led 26-7 at halftime.

Atlanta won this game 40-14 since they took care of business with Arizona in the first half. Running back Tevin Coleman was my player of the game with 11 carries, 145 rushing yards, and 1 rushing touchdown.

Oakland Raiders 3-11-0

Washington Redskins 7-7-0
Jacksonville Jaguars 4-10-0

Game Recap: JACKSONVILLE-This was one of my least favorite games. Josh Johnson versus Cody Kessler.

Washington won 16-13. The reason they won is because their pass rush had an easy pass to Cody Kessler with Cam Robinson and Jeremy Parnell out at offensive tackle. Those injuries really plagued Jacksonville. Jonathan Allen at 3-4 right end had 4 solo tackles, 1 assisted tackle, 5 total tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 tackles for a loss.

Game Recap: PITTSBURGH-Tom Brady entered Pittsburgh at 11-2. Pittsburgh needed to end their three game losing streak against New England.

Ben Roethlisberger had a fantastic opening drive for Pittsburgh. It was an 11-play 70-yard drive that lasted 6 minutes and 20 seconds. Ben Roethlisberger threw a touchdown pass to Vance McDonald. Pittsburgh led 7-0.

Tom Brady fired a 63-yard bomb to Chris Hogan. New England tied the game at 7-7. The game was tied after one quarter of play.

Antonio Brown got by field cornerback Stephon Gilmore despite a defensive holding call that was declined. Thanks to that touchdown pass, Pittsburgh led 14-7. Pittsburgh made a defensive stop, but an interception by Duron Harmon negated Pittsburgh's momentum. Pittsburgh led 14-7 at halftime.

This was a defensive game in the second half. New England got the only field goal of the third quarter and Pittsburgh got the only field goal of the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh won 17-13 thanks to a stellar defensive effort by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The officiating may have appeared one-sided, but you have to give Pittsburgh's defense credit for flustering Tom Brady.

Field cornerback Joe Haden was my player of the game. Haden prevented New England from a game-winning interception. Haden also limited Julian Edelman to 7 receptions for 90 receiving yards so Haden dominated this game in terms of coverage for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Philadelphia Eagles 7-7-0
Los Angeles Rams 11-3-0
