San Diego Chargers Submit Application To Los Angeles

It's been a while since my first piece on The Future Of Online Streaming In The NFL. Today I'm going to mention the news about the San Diego Chargers submitting an application to join the Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood.
The Chargers brought us so much history over the years. The Air Coryell offense led by Dan Fouts which was innovative in the 70's. Super Bowl 29, the 49-26 Super Bowl where the 49ers were favored by -19.5 against the spread which Al Michaels was not allowed to mention. The Ryan Leaf tirade after he went 1/15 against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Drew Brees and LT being core pieces for the Chargers in the 2001 NFL Draft. Marty Schottenheimer getting canned following a 14-2 season. After that it was Why So Serious Memes when Rivers lost his playoff game to Mark Sanchez. It's not history San Diego fans are proud of, but it's still history regardless.
San Diego has been a treat to watch overseas. It really stinks that the Chargers have to move to Los Angeles. I bet a lot of people didn't know that they were in fact, originally known as the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers held a meeting with the Rams on Tuesday about joining them in Inglewood via Fox Sports. Chargers owner Dean Spanos met with Rams owner Stan Kronke about sharing the new Chargers stadium in Inglewood.
Oren Shiri, who does NFL Predictions with Chris Ransom and his crew was kind enough to add some insight on this move. Oren quoted Los Angeles Daily News author Mark Whicker who made a pretty convincing case for why the citizens of San Diego will likely end up with sloppy seconds assuming they build a new stadium even if the Chargers go to Inglewood.
"San Diego has just lost the football team that it had since 1961. It lost it to Los Angeles.
If it gets a replacement for that team, it will get the Raiders. This is the rough equivalent of watching your wife run off with the guy who fired you.
And then they move next door to you, in a house three times as big as yours, with five yap-yap dogs. The twin devils of any San Diego sports fan’s life are Los Angeles in general and the Raiders in particular. And the only local major league team in his life that captivated that fan consistently was the Chargers." Daily News: Mark Whicker.
Like it or not the Chargers probably will move to Los Angeles. San Diego mayor Eric Garcetti wants the Chargers to stay put, but the real question is how much money will Garcetti commit to San Diego.
As for the Raiders they can either A. Stay in Oakland, B. go to San Antonio, C. go to St. Louis, or D. go to San Diego. I want the Raiders to stay in LA, but if they have to relocate somewhere it should be Vegas. The Las Vegas Raiders has a nice ring to it even though the Oakland Raiders is the best team name for the Raiders. That being said, I don't the NFL will relocate a team to Vegas because it would compromise the leagues shield of integrity. Still it's much better than moving the Raiders to London.
The Raiders shall stay in Oakland for now. It's worth pointing out that the Chargers have until January 2017 to file relocation to Los Angeles. If the Chargers fail to move to Los Angeles this offseason, the Raiders will have their window of opportunity to join the Rams in a year from now. I'll keep you guys updated with which second team goes to Los Angeles. For now we'll have to wait and see what happens and which AFC West team joins the St. Louis Rams in the Los Angeles Collosium where the USC Trojans play until 2019 when the new stadium opens in Inglewood.
