Super Bowl 49 Game Recap

New England Patriots 15-4-0	Versus	Seattle Seahawks 14-5-0

Game Recap: ARIZONA-New England attempted to dethrone the defending Champions in Seattle what happened.

The Seahawks won the coin toss after the Patriots called tails and they deferred. This game started as I expected.

Shane Vereen caught a pass for a third down conversion. New England had a couple of 2 yard runs before going 3 and out the next drive.

Seattle should have been penalized for roughing the kicker on 4th down. Instead they got penalized for running into the kicker on a bullshit call.

New England should have taken the extra yards. The defense held Seattle to 3 and out on 3 running plays. Seattle punted the ball to New England.

New England had an awesome drive. First downs by Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, and LeGarrette Blount allowed them to eat up the clock. Tom Brady threw a pass to the end zone. It clearly resulted in an interception by Jeremy Lane with the Seahawks getting the ball back. Bad news for Seattle is that Lane left the game injured.

Neither team scored in the first quarter. It is clear that Jeremy Lane fired up the Seahawks after that pick. New England outplayed Seattle 75 to 17 with total yards in the first quarter.

Seattle punted the ball. The Patriots first drive in the second quarter resulted in a touchdown due to tremendous pass blocking. Danny Amendola, Shane Vereen, Julian Edelman, and Brandon LaFell all got first downs. Tom Brady is playing like a Super Bowl MVP with his awesome performance in the first half outside of the interception to Jeremy Lane.

Patriots led 7 to 0. Russell Wilson needed to respond with the Patriots getting nine of the first ten first downs on Super Bowl Sunday.

Neither team scored following the Patriots touchdown. Chandler Jones made a statement sack on on the first play of the Seahawks drive following he Patriots touchdown. It resulted in Seattle punting it to New England. Amendola caught a pass before Tom Brady fired an incompletion on third down.

Russell Wilson completed two passes in a row. A third down conversion plus a huge play to wide receiver Chris Matthews who did not catch a pass this season.

Marshawn Lynch tied the game at 7. Donta Hightower got hurt which will keep New England from stopping the run.

Danny Amendola got a first down before the best commercials of the first half. Then as the game resumed the Patriots continued to establish momentum. A third down catch by Shane Vereen set up a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski. Tom Brady completed 20 for 27 in the first half which was the most completions Brady ever completed in the first half of a Super Bowl.

Chris Matthews tied the game at 14. Seattle will get the ball in the second half.

The beginning of the Katy Perry halftime show was epic. Katy Perry coming out on a Lion was epic. Then you had a combo of chess knights sexually harassing her, along with a don't break the ice theme, plus a whirlpool hoping to suck Perry in. After that w went to a beach theme before Lenny Kravitz and some shitty rap crew that looks like a team of contestants on America's Best Dance Crew Showed up. You knew Firework would be the last song. That was so predicable. We should have seen Katy Perry coming out on a Lion too.

Katy Perry did not sing hot and cold. She could have sang that after the second song. Instead we get the shitty rap group. Other than that the halftime show was actually good. This years halftime show was slightly better than last year.

Chris Matthews caught his 3rd career reception for 100 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown today. Matthews looks like the Super Bowl MVP if Seattle wins.

It is pretty ironic that a donkey is in a Sprint commercial. I think we all knew that Sprint's phone company was run by jackasses before tonight's game.

Doug Baldwin caught another touchdown. That put Seattle up 24 to 14.

New England rallied back in th fourth quarter thanks to touchdowns by Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman who caught the game winning touchdown.

Malcolm Butler caught an interception near the end zone after Seattle drove the ball downfield. Tom Brady won Super Bowl MVP as the Patriots dethroned the Super Bowl Champions 28 to 24.
