Draft Order 2025 NFL Draft Order: Round 1: 1. Jacksonville Jaguars: 2-9-0,

Wes Langley's 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Debut

Round 1 Picks 1-16

Colorado cornerback Travis Hunter is special. He can play wide receiver or cornerback in the NFL. The question is where will he play.

Wes Langley follow @DraftUtopia Last Updated: November 24, 2024.

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

The Jacksonville Jaguars need another wide receiver and another cornerback. The 6-1 185 lb Travis Hunter is the best player in the 2025 NFL Draft and the one individual with the highest ceiling. Travis Hunter can compliment Brian Thomas Jr. at wide receiver or Tyson Campbell at cornerback. The big question is which position will he end up playing in the NFL.

  2. Tennessee Titans: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Tennessee gets another wide receiver after trading DeAndre Hopkins to Kansas City. The 6-5 212 lb Tetairoa McMillan has the size you want and would push Calvin Ridley to be the number one flanker wide receiver right out of the gate. Tennessee would have an amazing wide receiver tandem of Calvin Ridley and Tetairoa McMillan. Tennessee can get a free agent at quarterback, draft someone in the second round at quarterback to compete with Will Levis, or can wait until the 2026 NFL Draft to get their quarterback. With Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava in the 2026 NFL Draft, something tells me that the Tennessee Titans wait until 2026 to draft their quarterback since the Titans would still have Ridley under contract for two years with McMillan under contract for four more years with a rookie quarterback.

  3. New York Giants: Cam Ward, QB, Miami FL

The 2025 NFL Draft only has two first round quarterbacks in Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. The 6-2 223 lb Cam Ward is the only quarterback with the floor of a first round quarterback and Shedeur Sanders is the only quarterback that can make all six progressions meaning that Sanders may have the highest ceiling despite being a rawer prospect than Ward. New York does the smart and safe thing by drafting Cam Ward third overall moving on from Daniel Jones. Cam Ward would have Andrew Thomas one of the NFL's best left tackles as his blindside. He would also have some second year players with promising rookie seasons like running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., wide receiver Malik Nabers, and Theo Johnson.

  4. Las Vegas Raiders: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

The 6-2 215 lb Shedeur Sanders has interest in playing for the Las Vegas Raiders. The feeling is mutual as the Las Vegas Raiders have interest in drafting him. Deion Sanders the father of Shedeur Sanders is also on board with Shedeur going to Las Vegas. Shedeur would have a good left tackle in Kolton Miller and some star tight ends to work with like Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer. Not much else is there for Shedeur Sanders to work with.

  5. New England Patriots: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

New England gets their left tackle to quarterback Drake Maye in Free Agency since they have more cap space than any NFL team. Left tackle options will include Ronnie Stanley, the Baltimore Ravens 2016 first round pick whose still on the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets left tackle Tyron Smith, who won't be back with the New York Jets next season, Denver Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles a 2017 first round pick by the Denver Broncos, and Cam Robinson who got traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Minnesota Vikings after Christian Darrisaw tore his ACL as well as his MCL. I don't see Ronnie Stanley hitting the open market with Baltimore bringing him back and my guess is New England will go after either Tyron Smith or Cam Robinson to be Drake Maye's left tackle. I will project Cam Robinson to New England as a left tackle since that will give New England flexibility to draft the best player on their board at 5.

New England drafts Michigan cornerback Will Johnson at 5. The 6-2 202 lb Will Johnson will compliment Christian Gonzalez quite well giving New England a cornerback duo that will be hard to throw on with Marcus Jones at nickel cornerback. New England will have two number one cornerbacks with one playing field cornerback and the other playing boundary cornerback making it very difficult to throw against the New England Patriots.

  6. New York Jets: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

The New York Jets lose Tyron Smith at left tackle, Morgan Moses at right tackle, and John Simpson at left guard. The 6-6 323 lb Will Campbell can compete with last years first round pick Olu Fashanu for the left tackle job in training camp with the loser moving over to right tackle. You can also move Will Campbell inside to left guard if his arm length is a question and he loses the left tackle job to Fashanu in training camp next year. Either way, New York would have more stability on the offensive line next year.

  7. Cleveland Browns: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

The 6-3 320 lb Mason Graham compliments Dalvin Tomlinson well as a 4-3 defensive tackle. Having a defensive tackle duo like that takes pressure off of Myles Garrett last years NFL Defensive Player Of The Year at 4-3 right end. Cleveland also has Ogbo Ogbonnia back at 4-3 left end meaning the addition of Mason Graham makes Cleveland's defensive line very strong like it was when they made the playoffs in the 2023-2024 NFL Season.

  8. Carolina Panthers: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

The 6-5 265 lb Mykel Williams gives Carolina a pass rusher off the edge. This is something Carolina desperately needs.

  9. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

The 5-9 215 lb Ashton Jeanty is now the favorite to win the 2024 Heisman Trophy. Dallas drafts Ashton Jeanty as he becomes another big time superstar on this offense with quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

  10. New Orleans Saints: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

The 5-11 205 lb Luther Burden III would compliment Chris Olave quite well at wide receiver as New Orleans would have two quality wide receivers for quarterback Derek Carr. There would be no more excuses for Derek Carr heading into 2025 for New Orleans after running back Alvin Kamara got extended.

  11. Cincinnati Bengals: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee

Trey Hendrickson has been the one bright spot at 4-3 right end this season. His other edge partner Sam Hubbard has underachieved at 4-3 left end as Sam Hubbard will either get traded to a team that wants to take on his contract or bought out. Cincinnati can save $9.6 million by buying out Sam Hubbard. The 6-5 243 lb James Pearce Jr. would compete with Myles Murphy Cincinnati's 2023 first rounnd pick out of Clemson for the starting 4-3 left end job. I like James Pearce Jr. to win that competition between him and Myles Murphy.

  12. Miami Dolphins: Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan

Miami gets their 3-4 nose tackle. The 6-3 339 lb Kenneth Grant is the top defensive lineman on the board and would be the best interior defensive lineman for Miami to draft here.

  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tyler Booker, IOL, Alabama

The 6-5 325 lb Tyler Booker would be a massive upgrade at left guard over Ben Bredeson. Baker Mayfield's offensive line would consist of Tristian Wirfs at left tackle, Tyler Booker at left guard, Graham Barton at center, Cody Mauch at right guard, and Luke Goedeke at right tackle. Tampa Bay would also have Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan, and Trey Palmer back at wide receiver. Cade Otton would be back at tight end. Rachaad White, Bucky Irving, and Sean Tucker would all be back at running back next year too allowing Baker Mayfield to continue to dominate in Tampa Bay next season.

  14. Chicago Bears: Jonah Savaiinea, OT, Arizona

Chicago drafts Arizona right tackle Jonah Savaiinea. The 6-5 336 lb Jonah Savaiinea would compete with Darnell Wright, Chicago's 2023 first round pick for the right tackle job with the loser moving inside to right guard to replace Nate Davis who the Chicago Bears released recently.

  15. Indianapolis Colts: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

The 6-0 190 lb Benjamin Morrison gives the Indianapolis Colts a number one field cornerback. JuJu Brents will move to boundary cornerback covering number two wide receivers upon returning from his season ending injury next year.

  16. Seattle Seahawks: Malaki Starks, S, Georgia

Seattle drafts another safety. The 6-1 205 lb Malaki Starks is the top safety in the 2025 NFL Draft. Seattle needs upgrades at both strong safety and free safety.
