Connor McDavid Gets First Career Game Winning Goal

The Oilers #1 draft pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft scored his first career game winning goal in the NHL. McDavid now has 4 goals, 2 assists, and 6 points in 7 NHL games this season.


Edmonton did not have a win against the Detroit Red Wings in regulation since 2009 before tonights 3-1 victory over the Red Wings in regulation. It's great to see the Oilers dominate once again. Edmonton was great at penalty killing and Detroit was 0/6 on the power play against the Oilers. I think McDavid has done enough to surpass Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as the #1 center as a line 1 center next to Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle on this roster.


Edmonton began the year 0-4, but they have now won 3 in a row. You can check out the video of McDavid's goal in the clip below.
