Kansas City Royals Win Game 4 Of 2015 World Series With Crazy 8th Inning

Posted By: Emily Rosario on 11/1/2015

The New York Mets controlled the outcome of this game for the first seven innings. Then the crazy eighth inning occurred where the Royals scored 3 runs in the top of the eighth inning.

Daniel Murphy made a critical error in the top of the eighth with the Mets ahead by 1 run when Eric Hosmer went to bat. This tied the game at 3. After that Mike Moustakas hit an RBI that gave the Royals a 4-3 lead. Catcher Salvador Perez would stretch that lead as he hit an RBI that Eric Hosmer would score.

Ryan Madison came in as a set up pitcher with a 5-3 lead. He pitched 1 inning and then closer Will Davis came in to get the save. The Royals won 5-3. Kansas City is one game away from winning their first World Series since 1985.
