Philadelphia 76ers To Take Ben Simmons First Overall

The Philadelphia 76ers will take LSU small forward Ben Simmons first overall. As long as the 76ers keep Jahlil Okafor and add Simmons to compliment him, I believe this team could do as well as the tenth best team in the Eastern Conference.
The 76ers are still a year away from a playoff run. Getting Simmons to compliment Okafor was the first huge step the 76ers needed to take and Nerlens Noel can play the power forward with Okafor playing center and Simmons playing small forward. I don't trust Joel Embiid, but I wouldn't put it past the 76ers to do something idiotic like trade Okafor to Boston for the third pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and put faith in Embiid setting the 76ers back to step 1 in their rebuilding plan.
I think everyone knew the 76ers would be the NBA's worst team this year dating back to the preseason. It just came down to the 76ers winning the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery. Philadelphia did that and now they will take Simmons with the top pick to give their NBA squad two blue chip players to build around for the next two decades with Okafor and Simmons.
