2026 NFL Mock Draft: Final Mock 7 Rounds

Round 1 Picks 1-16

The 2026 NFL Draft is headlined by Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Find out who got Fernando Mendoza and how the rest of the first round played out.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

Las Vegas gets their quarterback in my first mock draft update on the website since August. Only one player in this draft scored a max grade of 99/99 for potential and ceiling after assessing this draft class. That player was Mendoza and largely because Indiana went 16-0 with Mendoza winning the Heisman. I do not believe Mendoza is in the same class of qbs that warrant a max grade coming out of college like John Elway, Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Trevor Lawrence, or Caleb Williams. However, if the Las Vegas Raiders believe Fernando Mendoza can become that in 2-5 years, they have no reason to pass on him with the first overall pick. The asking price for this pick from the New York Jets was four first rounders and Garrett Wilson. Even with the signing of Kirk Cousins in Free Agency, Cousins is a bridge quarterback until Mendoza is ready to start. There is always the possibility Mendoza beats out Cousins in camp too.

The 6-4 236 lb Fernando Mendoza had 3,535 passing yards, 276 rushing yards, 3,811 total yards, 41 passing touchdowns, 7 rushing touchdowns, 48 total touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. Fernando Mendoza went 53/56 at Indiana's Pro Day with two of his three incompletions being drops by wide receivers. Fernando Mendoza had an amazing supporting cast on offense with Elijah Sarratt and Omar Cooper Jr. at wide receiver along with Carter Smith at left tackle and Pat Coogan at center. That supporting cast and Curt Cignetti's offense do mask some of his weaknesses. I don't think that will matter with Mendoza coming off a 16-0 season since he will be a stud if he reaches a max grade ceiling like Elway, Manning, and Luck did. There's also a chance Mendoza is a dud if the Raiders do not improve the offense around him.

The Los Vegas Raiders offensive line has Kolton Miller back at left tackle, Spencer Burford at left guard, Tyler Linderbaum at center, and Jackson Powers-Johnson at right guard. I like Charles Grant as a backup left tackle and Caleb Rodgers as a backup right guard. Upgrading over DJ Glaze at right tackle is a must. You have Ashton Jeanty at running back, Brock Bowers as your main tight end, and Michael Mayer as your secondary tight end. You do not have a number one or number two wide receiver for Mendoza. Burford could be good, but he could alos be a disaster, but he's better than DJ Glaze. Mendoza could succeed in 2027 if the Raiders ease him in th way the Rams eased Jared Goff or the Chiefs eased Patrick Mahomes in. If he's thrown into the fire this season, I expect a ton of growing pains to the point where it may affect his confidence. That is why I feel like Mendoza is the first boom or bust prospect since Cam Newton in 2011. If Mendoza becomes as good as Cam Newton, the Raiders should return to a Super Bowl at some point in the future. We can explore that possibility in the 2030's if Mendoza ges a second contract since I do not believe it will happen right now in the 2020's decade. Right now Fernando Mendoza will likely strt out as a backup quarterback to veteran Kirk Cousins who signed a one year deal.

Fernando Mendoza is first on the Draft Utopia 2026 NFL Draft Simulator. Click that link to check out our six draft simulators at the Utopia Of Sports. We also have a 2026 MLS Draft Simulator, 2026 WNBA Draft Simulator, and a 2026 MLB Draft Simulator. I will try to make one for NBA and possibly NHL too.

Previous Pick: Anthony Hill Jr., 3-4 MLB, Texas

    Other Las Vegas Raiders Selections

  2. New York Jets: Arvel Reese, MLB, Ohio State

New York is expected to draft Ohio State middle linebacker Arvel Reese here. The only other person in play is Texas Tech defensive end David Bailey, but the New York Jets cancelled his private workout which has me leaning Reese at 2. Some have Reese as a pass rusher, but his natural position is middle linebacker and that's where I am listing him. Reese could work as a pass rusher in a 3-4 defense, but the Jets run a 4-3 defense. This is literally the worst place Arvel Reese could end up. Also, I got Arvel Reese at 18 on my draft simulator which is a compilation of my personal big board based on what I would do if I ran all 32 NFL teams.

The 6-4 241 lb Arvel Reese had 34 solo tackles, 35 assisted tackles, 69 total tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, 7 sacks, 5 quarterback hurries, and 2 deflectons from pass breakups in 2025. Only 15 players did well enough to earn a blue chip grade from me. Carnell Tate, Kenyon Sadiq, and Arvell Reese were my three best players that did not earn a blue chip grade from me.

Arvel Reese does not have as high of a ceiling as Texas middle linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. whose still my top middle linebacker this year despite being an avid Ohio State fan. He did beat Anthony Hill Jr. with Ohio State's defense besting Texas 14-7 in the first week of the season. Arvel Reese made life hell for Arch Manning in the season opener. He also made life hell for Washington running back Jonah Coleman, my second best running back in this years draft. Reese has better size than Anthony Hill Jr. and he called plays for a former NFL defensive coordinator in Matt Patricia. These are the two biggest reasons he's being overhyped by NFL scouts in my opinion.

I feel like Arvel Reese only excels as a pass rusher. His only two deflections came against the Ohio Bobcats. All of his sacks came from the season opener to November first before he struggled to get ot the quarterback in Ohio State's final two games. Arvel Reese is not the best pass rusher, run stuffer, or linebacker in coverage while I believe Anthony Hill Jr. excels in all three of those areas. Regardless of how I feel about Arvel Reese as a prospect, he is the guy the New York Jets are reportedly locked in on at this point with the second pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Previous Pick: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

    Other New York Jets Selections

  3. Arizona Cardinals: David Bailey, 3-4 LOLB

Arizona did not get 10 sacks from Josh Sweat at 3-4 right outside linebacker after poaching him from the Philadelphia Eagles. Arizona gets a sack artist to compliment Josh Sweat here. I believe David Bailey will be the pick here regardless of whether Arizona keeps the third pick or if Arizona trades down with the team like the Dallas Cowboys for multiple first round picks such as picks 12 and 20 which would allow Arizona to get a right tackle and a quarterback.

The 6-4 251 lb David Bailey had 32 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 52 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, 14.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hurries, 3 deflections from pass breakups, and 3 forced fumbles in 2025. David Bailey can sack the quarterback, stop the run, and drop back into coverage. David Bailey also ran the fastest 40-yard dash among defensive ends at the 2026 NFL Combine. I have Rueben Bain Jr. graded above David Bailey, but Bailey is my third best overall pick as either one of those pass rushers would be a home run pick for the Arizona Cardinals at 3. David Bailey Jr. is probably a better scheme fit for the Arizona Cardinals 3-4 defense, but I got a 98/99 for potential on Rueben Bain jr. and a 97/99 on David Bailey as I see Rueben Bain Jr. as a better scheme fit for a 4-3 defense. Those two are my top two guys not named Fernando Mendoza and both could have better NFL careers than Mendoza on the right team. David Bailey's bull rush is hit or miss in terms of consistency despite checking off a lot of boxes.

Arizona's defense would have Darius Robinson at 3-4 right end, Roy Lopez as well as Andrew Billings at 3-4 nose tackle, Walter Nolen III at 3-4 left end. Dante Stills is the backup 3-4 right end and L.J. Collier is the backup3-4 left end. Josh Sweat would start at 3-4 right outside linebacker with David Bailey complimenting him at 3-4 left outside linebacker. Mack Wilson Sr. and Cody Simon would start at 3-4 middle linebacker. B.J. Ojulari, Zaven Collins, and Baron Browning are your backup pass rushers. Owen Pappoe and Jack Gibbins are your depth pieces at 3-4 middle linebacker. Will Johnson is your field cornerback with Denzel Burke as your boundary cornerback with Garrett Williams at nickel cornerbck with all three of those cornerbacks on rookie deals. Budda Baker is th e strong safety. Dadrion Taylor-Demerson at free safety is probably the only player that you need up to upgrade among your starters on a pretty deep defense whean healthy outside of Zaven Collins.

Previous Pick: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

    Other Arizona Cardinals Selections

  4. Tennessee Titans: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

Tennessee seems to be moving from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defense. I only see Tennessee taking two players either Jeremiyah Love or Rueben Bain Jr. I think Rueben Bain Jr. has the higher ceiling, but Jeremiyah Love is the younger player. I got a 98/99 on Rueben Bain Jr. and a 97/99 on Jeremiyah Love. I don't think the Titans can get a player better than either of these two in 2027. Jeremiyah Love is younger and has no injury history. Rueben Bain Jr. had a season ending injury in 2024, he has a short arm length, and is older than Love. That could ultimately factor into the Tennessee Titans decision to draft Jeremiyah Love fourth overall.

The 6-0 212 lb Jeremyiah Love had 153 carries, 1,125 rushing yards, 17 rushing touchdowns, 28 receptions, 237 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 181 touches, 1,362 total yards, and 19 total touchdowns in 2024. Jeremiyah Love had 190 carries, 1,372 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, 27 receptions, 280 receiving yards, 3 receiving touchdowns, 217 touches, 1,652 total yards, and 21 total touchdowns as a junior in 2025.

Jeremiyah Love has the speed, pass catching, ball carrier vision, and pass blocking you want in an NFL running back. His predecessors Kyren Williams and Audric Estime checked off these boxes as well and Love looks like he should be better than Estime and has a shot to be just as good as Kyren Williams with potentialy more game speed. Drafting Jeremiyah Love gives the Tennessee Titans three running backs that can take pressure off of Cam Ward in Jeremiyah Love, Tony Pollard as a change of pace back, and Tyjae Spears whose good enough to be a backup as a third string running back on the final year of his rookie deal. Having htat much depth at running back allows Brian Dabboll to use Cam Ward in the same capacity he used Dasniel Jones when he was the Giants head coach which will allow Ward to see a moderate, but not sustainable level of success.

Here is film of Jeremiyah Love against Texas A&M. You can watch that video below.

Previous Pick: T.J. Parker, 3-4 ROLB, Clemson

    Other Tennessee Titans Selections

  5. New York Giants: Caleb Downs, FS, Ohio State

Sonny Styles is the betting favorite to go fifth overall. Caleb Downs will go fifth though since the Giants have a need a free safety, a true center fielder. Both John Harbaugh and Caleb Downs showed positive body language and had their feet pointed towards each other at Ohio State's Pro Day. There are photos of it on X. John Harbaugh has way more pull than Joe Schoen at this point.

The 6-0 205 lb Caleb Downs had 70 solo tackles, 37 assisted tackles, 107 total tackles, 4 deflections from pass breakups, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, 4 returns for 87 yards on punt returns, and 1 special teams touchdown as a true freshman after being a five star recruit in High School in 2023. Caleb Downs had 49 solo tackles, 33 assisted tackles, 82 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, 6 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, 1 quarterback hurry, 0.5 sack, 6 returns for 98 yards, and 1 touchdown on special teams leading Ohio State to a National Championship as the top true sophomore in the nation in 2024. CalebDowns had 45 solo tackles, 23 assisted tackles, 68 total tackles, 5 tackles for a loss, 2 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, 2 force fumbles, 1 sack, and 1 quarterback hurry in 2025.

Caleb Downs got an A+ in man coverage, zone coverage, and press coverage. Caleb Downs can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 defense. Eric Berry and Kyle Hamilton were the only two safeties to begin and end their draft years with an A+ in all three coverage categories. Caleb Downs ran a 4.43 40-yard dash this Spring and is closer to Eric Berry than Kyle Hamilton in terms of game speed, but without the versatility to play all three defensive back roles at nickel cornerback, strong safety, and free safety that you want a defensive back that plays safety in the NFL to play. Caleb Downs is a pure free safety, but he fills a need and is arguably the best overall player in the entire 2026 NFL Draft.

Here is film of Caleb Downs against Texas. You can watch that video below.

Previous Pick: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

    Other New York Giants Selections

  6. Cleveland Browns: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

Cleveland is getting a building block around Shedeur Sanders at 6. Common sense says take a left tackle, but there's not a left tackle worth drafting at 6. The next biggest need on the positional value pyramid is a number one wide receiver. I got Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson as my top ranked wide receiver with him at seventh overall on my big board with a 96/99 potential grade. I got USC wide receiver Makai Lemon second with a 95/99 potential grade. Carnell Tate is third for me among wide receivers with a 94/99 potential grade. Carnell Tate caught every target and he's the youngest wide receiver in this draft. He can also run all 30 routes on the route tree. Tate also has an excellent work ethic too despite not having a blue chip ceiling. Also it sounds like Tate is the Browns number one wide receiver on their board even though intel suggests other teams like the Eagles, Patriots, and Ravens may have Tyson atop their wide receiver boards like I do. If the Browns pass on a wide receiver at 6 look for Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor or Utah right tackle Spencer Fano who has left tackle experience to be the Cleveland Browns first selection at 6.

The 6-2 192 lb Carnell Tate had 52 receptions, 733 receiving yards, and 4 receiving touchdowns in 2024. With Emeka Egbuka now on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carnell Tate should see an increased role in his draft year this upcoming season. Carnell Tate had 51 receptions, 875 receiving yards, and 9 receiving touchdowns.

Carnell Tate ran all thirty routes on the route tree from the 2024 tape I watched running 30/30 routes. Ohio State had three wide receivers that ran all thirty routes on the route tree in Jeremiah Smith, Emeka Egbuka, and Carnell Tate which explains why they won the first 12 team College Football Playoff last year. Marvin Harrison Jr. also ran all 30 routes on the route tree before Arizona drafted him fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. I had a 93 on Carnell Tate in the preseason. Jerry Jeudy would become the secondary wide receiver. Cedric Tillman and Isaiah Bond would compete for the slot receiver job.

Previous Pick: Caleb Downs, FS, Ohio State

    Other Cleveland Browns Selections

  7. Washington Commanders: Rueben Bain Jr., RE, Miami FL

Washington drafts my best defensive player in the entire 2026 NFL Draft at 7. Rueben Bain Jr. missed the entire 2024 season which is why I was hesistant to put him in my August mock. I got a 98/99 for potential on Rueben Bain Jr. To be honest he might end up being the best player in the 2026 NFL Draft. Rueben Bain Jr. would start at 4-3 right end with K'Lavon Chaisson complimenting him at 4-3 left end. Charles Omenihu and dorance Armstrong Jr. would be depth pieces. Daron Payane and Javon Kinlaw would compliment these two at defensive tackle with Jer'Zhan Newton and Tim Settle as the depth pieces at defensive tackle on Washington's defensive line.

The 6-2 263 lb Rueben Bain Jr. had 30 solo tackles, 24 assisted tackles, 54 total tackles, 83 quarterback pressures, 15.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, 5 quarterback hurries, 1 deflection from a pass breakup, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble in 2025. Rueben Bain Jr. showecased the ability to win double teams in Miami FL's season opener even winning a triple team on one play. When Miami FL barely edged out Notre Dame for the last spot in the 2025-2026 College Football Playoff, Miami made the National Title before losing to Indiana this past season. Rueben Bain Jr. can line up at 4-3 right end, 4-3 left end, 3-4 right outside linebacker, 3-4 left outside linebacker, 3-4 right end, and 3-4 left end with his versatility.

Here is film of Rueben Bain Jr. against Notre Dame. You can watch that video below.

Previous Pick: Tanner Kozoil, TE, Houston

    Other Washington Commanders Selections

  8. New Orleans Saints: Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State

Tyler Shough did better than expected this past season as a rookie. I mocked Luther Burden III to New Orleans last year as he entered the draft as my number one wide receiver. This year my top wide receiver prospect is Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. I know he hasn't worked out for teams, but he's expected to work out on April 17th. I think the durability concerns with Tyson are being overblown to a degree.

The 6-2 203 lb Jordyn Tyson had 75 receptions, 1,101 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns as a sophomore in 2024. I got a 94/99 for potential on Jordyn Tyson. New Orleans will probably draft a number two wide receiver next to Chris Olave whose had trouble staying healthy the past few seasons. Chris Olave did not get injured until the final week of the regular season.

Jordyn Tyson ran 14/30 routes on the route tree. That is slightly below average, but if he can build on his spectacular sophomore season and improve his route tree, he could go even higher than where he is currently projected. On the flip side, if he regresses he could fall in the draft. Jordyn Tyson showed the ability to run all 30 routes in the early part of the season. After the Texas Tech game where Arizona State beat Texas Tech, he missed most of the season only playing in Arizona State's final two games looking rusty in those games as starting quarterback Sam Leavitt who transferred to LSU also had a season ending injury.

Previous Pick: Cade Klubnik, QB, Clemson

    Other New Orleans Saints Selections

  9. Kansas City Chiefs: Francis Mauigoa, RT, Miami FL

Kansas City can cut right tackle Jawaan Taylor next season while also saving $20 million in cap space before Taylor becomes a UFA in 2027. Nobody has signed Taylor, but Kansas City will upgrade at right tackle with Patrick Mahomes coming off a season ending torn ACl. Drafting a bookend right tackle to Josh Simmons the Ohio State left tackle that the Kansas City Chiefs drafted with the thirty second pick in the 2025 NFL Draft makes a lot of sense for the Kansas City Chiefs in this 2026 NFL Mock Draft.

The 6-6 335 lb Francis Mauigoa has the pass blocking, pass blocking strength, pass blocking footwork, run blocking, run blocking strength, and run blocking footwork you want in a right tackle. His zone blocking, pancake blocking, pull blocking, and cut blocking need to improve in 2025, but he did enough as a pass blocker with top draft pick Cam Ward and running back Damien Martinez to assert himself as a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Kadyn Proctor and Francis Mauigoa were the two five star offensive tackles that were day 1 starters in college in the 2023 recruiting class with Proctor playing left tackle at Alabama and Mauigoa playing right tackle at Miami FL. Kansas City would have Josh Simmons at left tackle, Kingsley Suamatia at left guard, Creed Humphrey at center, Trey Smith at right guard, and Francis Mauigoa at right tackle allowing the Kansas City Chiefs to reload at the other offensive tackle spot using the 2025 NFL Draft to reload at left tackle and the 2026 NFL Draft to reload at right tackle. Patrick Mahomes would also have Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice in the final year of his rookie deal, Tyquan Thornton at slot receiver, and Jalen Royals as their number four wide receiver. Travis Kelce and Noah Gray are both back at tight end. Kansas City added Super Bowl 60 MVP Kenneth Walker III in Free Agency.

    Other Kansas City Chiefs Selections

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: Mansor Delane, CB, LSU

Cincinnati drafts a cornerback. LSU cornerback Mansor Delane is the top cornerback in the 2026 NFL Draft and he's a perfect addition for the Cincinnati Bengals at 10 giving the Cincinnati Bengals a number one field cornerback that replaces Cam Taylor-Britt.

The 6-0 187 lb Mansor Delane had 26 solo tackles, 19 assisted tackles, 45 total tackles, 11 deflections from pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and 1 quarterback hurry in 2025. I gave Mansor Delane an A+ grade in man coverage, a A grade in zone coverage, and an A+ in press coverage. Mansor Delane can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, a cover 3, an cover 4 defense. Mansor Delane is one of two cornerbacks that approaches being a blue chip prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft with the other cornerback being D'Angelo Ponds on Indiana despite his size.

    Other Cincinnati Bengals Selections

  11. Miami Dolphins: Makai Lemon, WR, USC

Miami worked out Makai Lemon at USC's Pro Day before trading Jaylen Waddle to Denver. Miami also released Tyreek Hill. Makai Lemon makes way too much sense for the Miami Dolphins at 11 since some have him as a top 10 talent. Makai Lemon is eighth overall on my big board behind only Jordyn Tyson.

The 5-11 192 lb Makai Lemon had 79 receptions, 1,156 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns in 2025. Makai Lemon ran all 30 routes on the route tree and won the Billetnikoff Award this past season as the top wide receiver in College Football.

Previous Pick: Keldrick Faulk, RE, Auburn

    Other Miami Dolphins Selections

  12. Dallas Cowboys: Sonny Styles, ROLB, Ohio State

Dallas will likely get whichever Ohio State player that the New York Giants pass on at 5. I do not see the Giants passing on Caleb Downs at 5, so Sonny Styles is the player that ends up falling to 12 here.

The 6-5 244 lb Sonny Styles had 46 solo tackles, 36 assisted tackles, 82 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, 4 quarterback hurries, 3 defletions from pass breakups, and 1 sack i 2025. Sonny Styles is the best 4-3 right outside linebacker on the weak side in the 2026 NFL Draft. Dallas is the best fit for a team that needs a 4-3 right outside linebacker in the top twelve overall.

Previous Pick: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

    Other Dallas Cowboys Selections

  13. Los Angeles Rams: D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana

I've heard Jermod McCoy, D'Angelo Ponds, Ioane the Penn State left guard, and K.C. Conception are all in play here even with the top three wide receivers off the board. Drafting D'Angelo Ponds to compliment Trent mcDuffie at field cornerback and Jaylen Watson at boundary cornerback makes a lot of sense for the Los Angeles Rams at 13.

The 5-9 182 lb D'Angelo Ponds had 44 solo tackles, 17 assisted tackles, 61 total tackles, 11 deflections frompass breakups, 4 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, 1 defensive touchdown, 1 forced fumble, and 1 blocked punt/kick. He was the field cornerback on Indiana's perfect team in 2025. Ponds can work as a long-term nickel and I believe he has the upside to develop into a blue chip cornerback despite his concerns with his height. I gave D'Angelo Ponds an A+ in man coverage, an A+ in zone coverage, and an A- in press coverage as Ponds can play in a cover 0, cover 1, cover 2, cover 3, or cover 4 scheme. Ponds also had a 43.5 inch vertical despite barely being 5-9.

    Other Los Angeles Rams Selections

  14. Baltimore Ravens: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Baltimore could go for a player on the offensive line, but right now center is the only position where they need a day 1 starter. Taking a young tight end to develop under Mark Andrews just makes a lot of logistical sense here at 14.

The 6-3 241 lb Kenyon Sadiq had 51 receptions, 560 passing yards, and 8 receiving touchdowns. Kenyon Sadiq is a great blocker, but he's not the route runner previous tight ends in the last few drafts are. Kenyon Sadiq ran 15/30 routes on the route tree. He does have enough of a ceiling to develop into a blue chip tight end if he fixes his route running, but he's raw. Kenyon Sadiq could have success on a team like Baltimore as the secondary tight end.

    Previous Pick: Ar'Maj Reed-Adams, RG, Texas A&M

    Other Baltimore Ravens Selections

  15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: CJ Allen, 3-4 MLB, Georgia

Tampa Bay is eying multiple pass rushers that could be available on day 2. Lavonte David just retired and there are two middle linebackers that I have a first round grade on in Anthony Hill Jr. and CJ Allen still on the board. Tampa Bay has some interest in CJ Allen and he seems like an ideal pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 15 as CJ Allen would pair with veteran Alex Anzalone who left the Detroit Lions to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 6-1 230 lb CJ Allen had 47 solo tackles, 41 assisted tackles, 88 total tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 2 quarterback hurries, 3.5 sacks, 4 deflections from pass breakups, and 2 forced fumbles in 2025. CJ Allen has the run stuffing and coverage that you want from a middle linebacker regardless of whether you run a 4-3 or a 3-4 scheme.

Previous Pick: Dani Dennis-Sutton, 3-4 ROLB, Penn State

    Other Tampa Bay Buccaneers Selections

  16. New York Jets: Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

The New York Jets draft a day 1 starter at 4-3 defensive tackle here at 16. Peter Woods makes a lot of sense for the New York Jets at 16.

Peter Woods was the top true sophomore in the country behind only Caleb Downs heading into last season. I got a 95/99 on Peter Woods as he is the final of the 5 players in the top 9 on my big board with that grade still on the board. Peter Woods is a top 16 player, so the New York Jets cannot pass on Peter Woods if he makes it to this pick.

The 6-3 298 lb Peter Woods had 18 solo tackles, 10 assisted tackles, 28 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, 4 quarterback hurries, 3 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 2024. Peter Woods had 10 solo tackles, 20 assisted tackles, 30 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss, 3 quarterback hurries, 2 sacks, 1 deflection frm a pass breakup, and 2 rushing touchdowns in 2025. Peter Woods is an elite run stuffer that will clog up lanes. Peter Woods reminds me the most of the two first round picks that Clemson produced on the defensive line at defensive tackle in the 2019 NFL Draft in Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence.

Previous Pick: Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

    Other New York Jets Selections
