Two years ago Ivan Miroshnichenko was the consensus fourth best player in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft behind Shane Wright, Brad Lambert, and Matthew Savoie. The only objection I have with putting him in the top 5 is that he's not playing for the reigning KHL Champions Avangard Omsk in the KHL yet which is why he fell to 10 where I mocked him to the Seattle Kraken. There's no question Ivan Miroshnichenko may be the best Russian winger to enter the NHL Draft since Alexander Ovechkin. He's not the star Ovechkin was, but he had two hat tricks in last years World Junior Championships with one against Finland and the other against USA. He also got promoted from the MHL to the VHL despite not having any KHL experience. He was my tenth best player at the beginning of the year. Every other scouting service in the country has Miroshnichenko in their top 6 overall. He's done enough to move into the top 9 or 8 based on what I've seen from him in the World Juniors and he VHL with 3 goals, 2 assists, and 5 points in 11 VHL games against semi pros in Russia.
