Dallas Mavericks 2017 Season Preview
Dirk Nowitzki is the Mavericks best player. He is getting up there in age though.

The 37-year-old Dirk Nowtzki is still the franchise player on this Dallas Mavericks squad. Last year Nowitzki posted 17.3 points per game in 2014-2015 after posting 21.4 points per game in 2013-2014 when he was 35.
Dallas has two new guards in Deron Williams who started at point guard on the Brooklyn Nets and Wesley Matthews who started at shooting guard for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Chandler Parsons and Tyson Chandler did much better for the Mavericks in 2014-2015 after both struggling in 2013-2014. Parsons is back, but Chandler signed with the Phoenix Suns.
Nowitzki has to score 20 points per game again just for the Mavericks to have a shot at making the playoffs. I don't think that happens. Dallas misses the playoffs.
