Sebastian Aho Eliminates Nashville Predators In 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Nashville didn't relinquish the lead at any point in regulation. For much of this contest it appeared that the Nashville Predators had all the momentum when Ryan Johansen made it a 3-1 game in the second period.


Dougie Hamilton passed an assist to Sebastian Aho. This made it a one goal game heading into the third period. Dougie Hamilton tied this game thanks to an assist by Jaccob Slavin. The first line defensive pairing of Slavin and Hamilton was phenomenal. All of Nashville's goals came against Carolina's second and third line of defense.


Sebastian Aho got the game-winning goal in overtime. Carolina will host the defending Stanley Cup Champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning in the next round in what will be an intense best of seven series between two of the leagues biggest rivals.
