Texas Rangers Rally Back In Game 1 Of The 2023 World Series

Evan Carter hit a double to give Texas a 1 to 0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Adolis Garcia also drove in an RBI during the bottom of the first with the Texas Rangers scoring two runs off of Arizona Diamondbacks ace Zac Gallen in the bottom of the first inning. Texas led 2 to 0 after one inning.
Nathan Eovaldi pitched another scoreless inning in the top of the second inning. Zac Gallen made the necessary adjustments in the bottom of the second inning. Neither team scored in the second inning. Texas remained ahead by 2 runs heading into the third inning.
Arizona had runners on third and second with one out. Arizona Diamondbacks rookie phenom Corbin Caroll hit a triple to drive in two runs which would tie this game 2 to 2. Ketel Marte got on base while Corbin Caroll got to home plate on time to give the Arizona Diamondbacks the lead. Corbin Caroll was a huge difference maker for the Arizona Diamondbacks in the top of the third inning.
Texas managed to load the bases with two outs. Zach Gallen had the chance to get out of the inning here, but he walked Mitch Garver which led to Corey Seager reaching home plate. This game was tied 3 to 3 after three innings.
Tommy Pham hit a home run as the designated hitter for Arizona. Arizona led 4 to 3 after 4 innings thanks to a scoreless inning by Zac Gallen.
Ketel Marte brought in an RBI on his double. Arizona led 5 to 3. Zac Gallen pitched a second consecutive scoreless inning before Arizona turned to the bullpen. Arizona led 5 to 3 after five innings.
Both teams bullpens pitched scoreless for the next three innings. Arizona could not get on the scoreboard in the top of the ninth inning. Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager hit a two run home run in the bottom of the ninth to tie this game at 5 to 5 with one out. Austin Hedges struck out in the bottom of the ninth to send this game to extras.
Neither team could score in the tenth inning. Arizona couldn't do anything in the top of the eleventh inning. Texas Rangers right fielder Adolis Garcia hit the game-winning home run. The 2023 ALCS MVP helped the Texas Rangers win game 1 of the 2023 World Series and is on pace to win ALCS MVP and World Series MVP much like last years ALCS MVP Jeremy Pena whose not in this years World Series with Houston losing game 7 of the ALCS to the Texas Rangers.
