Pavel Datsyuk Gets 900th Point In Goal Scoring Affair

Pavel Datsyuk had 899 points heading into today. Datsyuk had 2 goals and an assist in Detroit's 6-5 win over Boston. Datsyuk won the face off that set up the game-winning goal by Henrik Zetterberg. Zetterberg also had 2 goals and 1 assist today. Detroit held Boston to 17 shots on goal, but the goalie filling in for Jimmy Howard was terrible even though it was his birthday.


Detroit trailed this game 3-1 after one period. The Red Wings had 14 shots on goal in the second period before the Bruins had 1 shot on goal.
