- Pittsburgh gets a goalie for the future. Pittsburgh can develop a backup goalie to Joel Blomqvist with Tristian Jarry having three years left on his contract. Red Deer Rebels goalie Chase Wutzke is the best goalie on the board at this point in the seventh round.
- The 6-2 161 lb Chase Wutzke had a 19-10-2 record, posted a 2.82 goals against average, a .904 save percentage, and 1 shutout in 31 games started while playing in 36 WHL games on the Red Deer Rebels in 2023-2024. Carolina Hurricanes: Tyler McInnis Thorpe, LW, Vancouver Giants (WHL)
- Carolina gets a left winger to develop for the future. Tyler McInnis Thorpe could be a player that ends up being a steal in the seventh round.
- The 6-5 216 lb Tyler McInnis Thorpe had 23 goals, 21 assists, and 44 points on the Vancouver Giants in the WHL in 2023-2024. Tyler McInnis Thorpe has two years left to develop in the WHL before the team that drafts him has to sign him to an entry-level contract.
Vancouver Canucks: Adam Fortier-Gendron, D, Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL) 
- The Vancouver Canucks use this seventh round pick to go for value over need. Adam Fortier-Gendron is the best player available with only five picks left in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft before the 2024 NHL Draft concludes.

Dallas Stars: Antonin Verreault, LW, Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (QMJHL) 
- Dallas uses their final pick on a left winger for the future. This sixth round pick originally belonged to the Dallas Stars.
- The 5-8 166 lb Antonin Verreault has the versatility to play left wing, center, or right wing. He was drafted second overall in the 2020 QMJHL Draft when the Gatineau Olympiques took him second overall after drafting Tristan Luneau with the first pick in the 2020 QMJHL Draft. Gatineau traded Antonin Verreault to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies heading into this season.
