Shane Prince Should Be In The NHL By Now

Shane Prince was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Prince led the Binghamton Senators with 65 points in 2014-2015. 2011 first round pick Matt Puempel who also plays left wing only had 32 points.
The injustice is that Puempel will get the line 4 spot on Ottawa while Prince gets stuck in Binghamton. Luckily for Prince, he's in the final year of his two-way rookie contract so he may be able to play for Ottawa next season.
That's very good news for Prince if he can make Ottawa in 2015 or 2016. If Prince fails to receive a one-way contract to Ottawa and gets 60 points once again he needs to stand his ground in Free Agency because someone will pick him up. There are too many teams in the NHL that need line 4 left wingers. Prince will be a guy that steps into that role next season in the NHL whether it is with Ottawa or another team should Prince part ways with the Senators.
