Henrik Samuelsson The New Face Of Springfield Hockey In The AHL

The Springfield Falcons used to be the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets. That will change this season as the Arizona Coyotes are now the NHL team associated with the Falcons in the AHL.

One player that will have to step up on this Springfield Falcons team is Henrik Samuelsson. Samuelsson was drafted twenty-seventh overall by the Coyotes in the 2012 NHL Draft.

Samuelsson spent most of his career with the Edmonton Oil Kings. In 2014-2015, Samuelsson posted 18 goals, 22 assists, and 40 points in 68 games.

Samuelsson's two way contract runs through 2016-2017. Samuelsson will be on the Coyotes by 2017. For now Samuelsson will spend the next two seasons in Springfield in the American Hockey League before eventually getting promoted to the National Hockey League.
