2022 Senior Bowl: Game Recap

The National Team defeated the American Team as I expected 20-10 to win the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl. Kenny Pickett went 6/6 with 89 passing yards, 1 passing touchdown, and no interceptions. Desmond Ridder threw 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. The big surprise was that neither quarterback won Senior Bowl MVP.

Oklahoma 4-3 defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey had 5 solo tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 tackles for a loss. Perrion Winfrey won Senior Bowl MVP over the two quarterbacks with his dominant performance on the National Team. What's even more tragic was that his Senior Bowl gear was reportedly stolen including his MVP trophy following the game.

Chad Muma the Wyoming middle linebacker prevented a Malik Willis rushing touchdown. I feel like Muma isn't getting enough credit for his strong game for the National Team.

One more defensive player besides Perrion Winfrey and Chad Muma that stood out in Mobile was Baylor safety Jalen Pitre. Jalen Pitre had a great week in Mobile and cemented himself as a day 2 pick.
