Brooklyn Nets 2017 Season Preview

The Brooklyn Nets were fortunate to get both power forward Thaddeus Young and center Brook Lopez back. Young averaged 14.1 points per game and Lopez posted 17.3 points per game. Andrei Bargnani is the backup to Lopez at center and he averaged over 10 points per game last season making him a solid a backup to Lopez.
Brooklyn moved Joe Johnson from shooting guard to small forward last season. Johnson posted 14.4 points per game at small forward and will probably remain in the 3.
Brooklyn released point guard Deron Williams. The Nets' could not take on Williams salary and point guard Jarrett Jack only posted 12 points per game compared to Williams 13 points per game. Many will say losing Williams isn't that big of a deal, but something tells me Deron makes up for how Rondo played in Dallas last year.
I feel like Brooklyn could win the Atlantic Division since it is the weakest division in the NBA. At the same time, this team has questions at both guard positions and that will be what keeps the Nets from making the 2016 NBA Playoffs.
