The New York Rangers defeated the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 in Montreal to win the first game of a best of seven series. Tanner Glass got hte first goal of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was the only goal in tonights game as Henrik Lunqvist was excellent making saves at goaltender for the New York Rangers.

Montreal needs to win game 2 at home or they are in serious trouble. You have to give the New York Rangers credit for taking care of business in game 1 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
