Round 7

Notre Dame tight end Ben Koyack had to wait six rounds to get drafted. Find out who added him in the seventh round.

Posted By Chris Ransom Last Updated: May 2, 2015.

  1. Oakland Raiders: Anthony Morris, RT, Tennessee State D Grade

Oakland needed an offensive tackle for depth. My biggest issue with this pick is that it felt like a huge reach.

  2. Cleveland Browns: Hayes Pullard, 3-4 MLB, USC A Grade

Hayes Pullard has a lot of versatility. He can also stop the run, execute tackles with ease, and drop back into zone coverage.

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Neal Sterling, WR, Monmouth David Caldwell Shaving Off Shahid Khan's Mustache Grade

Jacksonville was already loaded at wide receiver. Taking a second receiver is about as awful as shaving off owner Shahid Khan's mustache.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Andre DeBose, WR, Florida A Grade

Andre DeBose is this years Devin Hester. Awesome pick by the Raiders.

  5. Washington Redskins: Austin Reiter, C, South Florida C Grade

Washington needed a center. There were better players available which is why the Redskins got a C grade.

  6. New York Jets: Deon Simon, NT, Northwestern State D Grade

Deon Simon isn't even the best player on Northwestern State that was an NFL prospect. Terrible selection by the Jets.

  7. St. Louis Rams: Bryce Hager, MLB, Baylor C Grade

Bryce Hager was the best middle linebacker left. The Rams didn't need a middle linebacker though.

  8. Atlanta Falcons: Jake Rodgers, RT, Eastern Washington A Grade

I saw Jake Rodgers tape. This small school guy can play both sides at offensive tackle. He's a very underrated player, and Atlanta made an outstanding pick by taking him in the seventh round.

  9. New York Giants: Bobby Hart, RG, Florida State C Grade

I'm not sure how Bobby Hart will transition from right tackle to right guard. That's why the Giants got a C grade.

  10. St. Louis Rams: Martin Ifedi, LE, Memphis A Grade

Martin Ifedi is a great left end to have for depth behind Chris Long. I love this pick.

  11. Minnesota Vikings: Austin Shepherd, RT, Alabama B Grade

Minnesota already drafted 2 offensive tackles. Austin Shepherd is just a third string insurance policy in case T.J. Clemmings foot injury is severe.

  12. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ben Koyack, TE, Notre Dame A+ Grade

Awesome pick by Jacksonville. Ben Koyack provides a great #2 tight end across from newly signed Free Agent Julius Thomas.

  13. New Orleans Saints: Marcus Murphy, RB, Missouri D Grade

I don't understand this pick. The Saints already have Mark Ingram.

  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Joey Iosefa, RB, Hawaii A Grade

I like this pick for two reasons. First Joey Iosefa can play running back or fullback. Second, Tampa Bay didn't give Doug Martin a fifth-year option at running back making him a Free Agent after this season.

  15. Minnesota Vikings: Edmond Robinson, LOLB, Newberry A Grade

Minnesota needs to groom someone behind Chad Greenway. That's why this is a good pick.

  16. Kansas City Chiefs: Da'Ron Brown, WR, Northern Illinois B Grade

Da'Ron Brown is a solid pick. I still feel like the Chiefs could have drafted a better wide receiver.

  17. Buffalo Bills: Dezmin Lewis, WR, Central Arkansas A Grade

Dezmin Lewis has good size for a receiver. Buffalo could use another receiver for depth.

  18. Houston Texans: Kenny Hilliard, RB, LSU F Grade

Kenny Hilliard isn't even the #1 running back on LSU. That honor belongs to Leonard Fournette. Awful pick.

  19. Dallas Cowboys: Mark Nzeocha, LOLB, Wyoming Jerry Jones Making Draft Picks For His Son Grade

I get that Mark Nzeocha was a left outside linebacker at Wyoming. Unless Randy Gregory plays right end, this will be a wasted pick.

  20. Philadelphia Eagles: Brian Mihalik, 3-4 RE, Boston College B Grade

Philadelphia needs a 3-4 right end for depth. Brian Mihalik is a good pick at this point.

  21. Cincinnati Bengals: Mario Alford, WR, West Virginia A+ Grade

Mario Alford will thrive in the slot. Awesome pick by the Bengals.

  22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Gerod Holliman, FS, Louisville A+ Grade

Holliman led the NCAA with 14 interceptions. Louisville's free safety was easily the Steelers best pick on Draft Day.

  23. Detroit Lions: Corey Robinson, LT, South Carolina A Grade

Cory Robinson is a good backup left tackle behind Riley Reiff. I love this pick.

  24. Cleveland Browns: Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, Oregon A Grade

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu will thirve as a quarter cornerback. If he recovers from his injury, he has the potential to beat out Justin Gilbert to be the Browns nickel cornerback.

  25. Oakland Raiders: Dexter McDonald, CB, Kansas A- Grade

Oakland needs another cornerback for depth. I love the addition of Dexter McDonald here.

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Laurence Gibson, LT, Virginia Tech C Grade

Laurence Gibson lacks the footwork to play left tackle. He will be a backup to Tyron Smith in Dallas. He may be a starting left tackle in a few years. For now he's Tyron Smith's backup.

  27. San Francisco 49ers: Trenton Brown, LG, Florida A Grade

Trenton Brown has the versatility to play anywhere on the offensive line. Brown would be an ideal replacement to Mike Iupati, even though he will be a huge downgrade compared to Iupati.

  28. Tennessee Titans: Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary A Grade

Tennessee needed a receiver for depth. This was an awesome value pick, but I'm surprised the Titans settled for Tre McBride.

  29. Dallas Cowboys: Geoff Swaim, TE, Texas C Grade

Dallas passes on both a quarterback and a running back for a tight end. It's picks like this that make me scratch my head every time someone says the Cowboys are a lock to win the NFC East.

  30. New England Patriots: Darryl Roberts, CB, Marshall C+ Grade

New England needed a cornerback. Why did they wait this long to take one though?

  31. Seattle Seahawks: Ryan Murphy, FS, Oregon State C+ Grade

Ryan Murphy is a solid player to add here. He could be a good backup to Kam Chancellor.

  32. Atlanta Falcons: Akeem Murphy, SS. San Jose State B Grade

Atlanta could use another safety for depth. Solid pick by the Falcons here.

  33. Denver Broncos: Trevor Siemian, QB, Northwestern D Grade

If Denver took a draftable quarterback to develop this might have an A grade. Trevor Siemian isn't even a top 30 quarterback on most boards. The only reason Denver didn't get an F grade is because this guy went to Northwestern.

  34. Denver Broncos: Taurean Nixon, CB, Tulane John Elway Smoking Dope With Shane Ray Grade

Denver adds another cornerback who will likely be a quarter cornerback. I have a hard time seeing Tauren Nixon on the Brocnos' final 53-man roster.

  35. Denver Broncos: Josh Furman, FS, Oklahoma State C Grade

Josh Furman might be a good developmental free safety. This is a decent pick.

  36. New England Patriots: Xzavier Dickson, ROLB, Alabama B+ Grade

Xzavier Dickson played in a 3-4 at Alabama. If Dickson had some experience in the 4-3 at Alabama, this would easily be an A grade.

  37. San Francisco 49ers: Rory Anderson, TE, South Carolina D Grade

There were better tight ends available. I'm really confused as to why the 49ers took Rory Anderson.

  38. Indianapolis Colts: Denzell Goode, LT, Mars Hill B Grade

Denzell Goode is a solid pick with potential to develop into a blindside left tackle. For now he needs to start out as a backup.

  39. Arizona Cardinals: Gerald Christian, TE, Louisville A Grade

The Cardinals' needed another tight end for depth. Solid pick by Arizona making a Cardinal Mr. Irrelevant in 2015.
