The New York Mets may have the best rotation in the MLB. Matt Harvey and Jacob deGrom should continue to dominate in 2016.

New York Mets Batting Lineup Summary: The New York Mets have a quality 1-8 batting lineup. With the National League you got pitchers instead of designated hitters so what we did with the pitchers is we added up the batting averages of the 5 starters and divided that by 5. Then we added up the total number of everything else the 5 starters did.
Outside of the Mets pitchers, this is a great lineup. Even though these pitchers cannot hit they pack quite a punch on the mound.

New York Mets Starting Rotation Summary: The New York Mets had Harvey, Colon, and deGrom as reliable starters heading into 2015. Colon declined while Harvey and deGrom made their presence known. Noah Syndergaard also emerged.
The Mets have three arms capable of being #1 starters in Harvey deGrom, and Syndergaard in their rotation. I love Matz as an emerging #4 starter with Colon rounding out the rotation. I can see the New York Mets returning to the fall classic with this rotation.

New York Mets Bullpen Summary: Logan Verrett is battling for a long reliever spot with Sean Gillmartin. Zack Wheeler is out until July. Middle reliever Josh Edgin is out until May and Erik Goeddel is questionable.
Jerry Blevens did well last season. He was flawless in five innings. Those five innings are the only experience he has. Blevens can be a stud if he pitches that well over a long period of time. Blevens could also watch his ERA go up.
Antonio Bastardo was a middle reliever for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Now Bastardo joins the Mets as a middle reliever.
Addison Reed went from having a 4.20 ERA as a setup pitcher with the Arizona Diamondbacks to having a 1.13 ERA with the New York Mets. A change of scenery is just what Reed needed.
Closer Jeurys Familia had a 1.85 ERA last season. Familia also emerged as a fantastic closer with 43 saves in 2015 after only posting 5 saves in 2014.
Prediction: The New York Mets have an impressive batting lineup, a championship caliber starting rotation, and a proven closer in Jeurys Familia. Reed and Bastardo can compliment Familia in the bullpen are huge question marks.
The New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants are 1A, 1B, and 1C in the National League at this point. With more betting action on the Cubs and Giants that may motivate the Mets who are being disrespected after losing the 2015 World Series to the Kansas City Royals.
At this point, I'd pick the Mets over the Blue Jays in the 2016 World Series. In order for that to happen, the Mets need to do their best to have healthy pitchers at the right time heading into the 2016 MLB Playoffs. I feel like the Mets have the best rotation and bullpen when healthy. That's why it is so crucial for their pitchers to be healthy at the right time.
The Cubs and Giants could easily have better regular season records than the Mets. If New York's starting rotation and bullpen is completely healthy by the end of the year, they should be the team that comes out of the National League, and potentially wins the 2016 World Series.
