Mark Sciubba's 2019 NFL Mock Draft: 7 Rounds

Round 4

Mark Sciubba follow @MarkSciubbaDoe Last Updated: April 23, 2019.

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State

Arizona really should just go best player available in the mid to late rounds. Sheffield has the speed to hang with almost anyone and could be a steal if he falls into a great corner coach.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Ben Burr-Kirven, LB, Washington

The 49ers should add a LB who should be able to thrive behind all the first round picks on their defensive line. Ben Burr-Kirven seems like a natural fit for the 49ers 4-3 defense.

  3. New York Jets: Michael Jackson, CB, Miami FL

The Jets need to get better at cornerback desperately. Jackson won't help much in run support but he can cover well.

  4. Oakland Raiders: Alize Mack, TE, Notre Dame

The Raiders and almost every team is gonna target a TE in this great class. They get Mack who i think is underrated and could start day 1 in the NFL here.

  5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Darius West, S, Kentucky

The Bucs continue to build up the defense for new DC Tod Bowles. Safety has been an issue for Tampa Bay since they passed on Derwin James after trading down in the 2018 NFL Draft.

  6. New York Giants: Gary Jennings, WR, West Virginia

Jennings has all the tools to be a solid number 2 receiver in the NFL. Giants need to find multiple guys to replace OBJ's production.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ryan Pulley, CB, Arkansas

Jacksonville needs to find some cheap options on defense to prepare for the massive pay day coming to Jalen Ramsey. Pulley is an underrated CB who is flying under the radar.

  8. Cincinnati Bengals: Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State

The Bengals need to put together a offensive line desperately for new coach Zac Taylor to have a real chance at success. Isaiah Prince could play right tackle next to Cordy Glenn.

  9. Detroit Lions: Andy Isabella, WR, Massachusetts

The Detroit Patriots get their Julian Edelman. Isabella has home run speed that will burn defenses.

  10. Buffalo Bills: Khalen Saunders, DT, Western Illinois

Khalen Saunders is the DT with some pass rush juice the Bills need. He's also a former wrestler and I promise you every prospect who is a former wrestler gets a big bump up for the Bills and Sean McDermott.

  11. Baltimore Ravens: Anthony Nelson, EDGE, Iowa

The Ravens continue to rebuild the defense up with Anthony Nelson. A rock solid defender who can move around the Ravens 3-4 scheme.

  12. Green Bay Packers: Isaiah Johnson, CB, Houston

I'm not very high on Johnson but his combine did give his draft stock a significant bump. He's got the height, length, and speed to be special and going to Green Bay with Pettine who helped develop Revis is a good match.

  13. Carolina Panthers: Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M

The Panthers offense runs best with great Tight End play. The Panthers grab one to help ensure it stays that way.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Austin Bryant, EDGE, Clemson

The Dolphins grab a piece for the giant rebuild of their front 7 ahead of them. Austin Bryant gives you a future starter at 4-3 left end.

  15. Atlanta Falcons: Anthony Johnson, WR, Buffalo

Johnson would fit in perfectly with the Falcons offense. He, Julio, and Ridley would be a three headed monster for Matt Ryan to throw to.

  16. Green Bay Packers: Darnell Savage, S, Maryland

Savage is a boom or bust player from play to play. But with the flashes he shows and athleticism he has with the right coaching he could end up being one of the best players from this class down the road.

  17. Cleveland Browns: Maxx Crosby, EDGE, Eastern Michigan

Cleveland should look to find a pass rusher to be Myles Garrett's partner in crime for years to come. Crosby could be a gem that fills that role.

  18. Minnesota Vikings: Dexter Williams, RB, Notre Dame

The Vikings need to be more balanced on offense but that is a difficult task when your star RB has not been healthy consistently. Williams is the mix of Power and Speed you need in a modern day bellcow back. He can relieve Cook, bang in the redzone, and be a good starter when needed.

  19. Tennessee Titans: Foster Moreau, TE, LSU

The Titans get another target for Mariota and an offense which was pedestrian at best last year. Insurance is needed if Delanie Walker gets injured again.

  20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jakobi Meyers, WR, North Carolina State

A super Steelers pick here. Jakobi Meyers is a former QB who transitioned to WR and has used his athleticism and high football IQ to excel at it. It's gonna take more than one guy to replace what the Steelers lost in Brown.

  21. Baltimore Ravens: Justice Hill, RB, Oklahoma State

The Ravens get a perfect compliment back to Mark Ingram. Hill can be used like Alvin Kamara is for the Saints.

  22. Seattle Seahawks: Nate Davis, OT, Charlotte

The Seahawks get a perfect fit here with a versalite, rock solid lineman. Davis could help finally give Wilson a good line to play behind, which is scary to think about for other NFC West teams.

  23. Denver Broncos: Derrick Baity, CB, Kentucky

Baity is a big physical corner who can press guys up, help in run support, and captain your special teams. He gives Denver great depth at cornerback here.

  24. Chicago Bears: Keelan Doss, WR, UC Davis

Doss is pro ready despite playing in the Big Sky and can bring a size option to the Bears as they seem to be getting smaller and smaller on offense at skill positions.

  25. Philadelphia Eagles: Iosua Opeta, OT, Weber State

Opeta is the type of athlete with a mean streak all offensive line coaches will want a chance to develop. Philadelphia can slowly groom him to be a swing tackle.

  26. Dallas Cowboys: Kaden Smith, TE, Stanford

Cowboys need to get a tight end to learn from Jason Witten. Smith has the ideal size and has great hands. His main question is how well does he separate? A year under Witten and he can be great.

  27. Indianapolis Colts: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford

Love could be the steal of this draft. He might go down in history as the guy who made the worst decision in NFL history of not leaving early but he's still a guy who can be a playmaker at the next level and with Andrew Luck and a strong offensive line he could thrive.

  28. Los Angeles Chargers: Mark Fields, CB, Clemson

Chargers secondary seems to be always injured. Getting a solid corner who has the toughness to play all over in fields would be a great move in the mid rounds.

  29. Buffalo Bills: Joe Jackson, EDGE, Miami FL

Bills need to reload on the line and especially on the edge. Jackson is the prototype 4-3 defensive end and his all around game will fit Sean Mcdermott's scheme perfectly.

  30. New York Giants: Jordan Scarlett, RB, Florida

Saquon Barkley gets a good backup. Jordan Scarlett could be a nice change of pace running back behind the man who could lead the NFL in rushing yards once the offensive line gets cleaned up.

  31. Los Angeles Rams: Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State

The Rams add another LB to help fill the multiple holes there. Terrill Hanks is the best linebacker available.

  32. New England Patriots: Dillon Mitchell, WR, Oregon

The Patriots are severely lacking at WR position and should add at least two if not more in the draft. Dillon Mitchell provides awesome value for New England this late in the fourth round.

  33. Indianapolis Colts: Ben Banogu, EDGE, TCU

The Colts continue to build up the front 7 to match the talent level of offense. Ben Banogu could be a decent rotational pass rusher at the very worst and a future long-term starter at the very best.

  34. Dallas Cowboys: Beau Benzschwael, G, Wisconsin

Dallas gets a guard to add competition at the left guard spot. Benzschwaael was a right guard at Wisconsin, but moves to left guard since Dallas has Zack Martin.

  35. Atlanta Falcons: Will Grier, QB, West Virginia

Grier would be a great pick here. He can be a backup to Matt Ryan and possibly develop into the future at QB for the Falcons.

  36. Philadelphia Eagles: David Long, CB, Michigan

Philadelphia got this compensation pick at 138 thanks to Trey Burton signing with the Chicago Bears. Chicago is stacked at tight end, but this is still an awesome job by Philadelphia adding another compensation pick.

Eagles secondary depth almost derailed their season last year. Getting a young corner coming from one of the best defenses in the country makes a lot of sense.
