Mark Sciubba's 2019 NFL Mock Draft: 7 Rounds

Round 6

Mark Sciubba follow @MarkSciubbaDoe Last Updated: April 23, 2019.

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Zach Gentry, TE, Michigan

The Cardinals get a big target for Kyler Murray in the former QB from Michigian. Zach Gentry compliments Charles Clay in Arizona.

  2. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kahale Warring, TE, San Diego State

The Steelers gets some tight end depth. Warring is the athletic type of player the Steelers like to take later and develop. It usually works out for them on the offensive side of the Ball.

  3. San Francisco 49ers: Hamp Cheevers, CB, Boston College

Cheevers is one of the best nickels in the class and is a steal here. San Francisco is loaded at cornerback and adds another a nickel.

  4. New Orleans Saints: Marquise Blair, FS, Utah

Blair is another player I think would be a giant steal here. This class really doesn't have much of a talent drop off from the mid 4th round to the end of the 7th.

  5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Qadree Ollison, RB, Pittsburgh

Jags get some insurance for the Fournette situation with one of the safest players in the draft. Ollison is a guy any coach would love to have in their locker room.

  6. Arizona Cardinals: Drew Sample, TE, Washington

The Cardinals double down on tight ends late in hoping to find some badly needed playmakers at the position. Having Zach Gentry and Drew Sample anchor the tight end tandem after Charles Clay leaves would help the Cardinals.

  7. New York Giants: Max Scharping, OT, Northern Illinois

I know many in the scouting community are very high on Scharping. I think this is right around where he should go but don't be surprised to hear his name called earlier.

  8. Buffalo Bills: Chris Slayton, DL, Syracuse

The Bills add Slayton who was a stud at this year's Shrine game as they look to find playmakers across the entire D line. Chris Slayton is someone who could be a sleeper in the sixth round.

  9. Denver Broncos: Mike Bell, S, Fresno State

Bell is a guy who can help create competition at safety for the Broncos and be a special teams contributor. He is capable of pushing for a safety spot.

  10. Cincinnati Bengals: C.J. Conrad, TE, Kentucky

The Bengals get a tight end who would go earlier in a lesser tight end class. C.J. Conrad can push for a roster spot.

  11. Detroit Lions: Travis Homer, RB, Miami FL

Detroit gets a complimentary back who could be a solid starter if Johnson gets injured. Travis Homer is someone who helps Detroit's backfield.

  12. Green Bay Packers: Dax Raymond, TE, Utah State

Packers get another potential target as they try to make the offense stacked. Dax Raymond is one of the best targets on the board.

  13. Atlanta Falcons: Isaiah Buggs, DL, Alabama

Buggs is the type of player who would thrive under Dan Quinn. He is a steal for Atlanta this late in the sixth round.

  14. Carolina Panthers: Daniel Wise, DL, Kansas

The Panthers get some solid depth in the middle of their defense. Daniel Wise did well after Dorance Armstrong Jr. got drafted.

  15. Tennessee Titans: Ross Pierschbacher, G, Alabama

Piersbacher is flying under the radar. He’s a day one starter in my mind.

  16. Cleveland Browns: DaMarkus Lodge, WR, Ole Miss

Browns get a steal in Lodge who would have been a bigger star if he wasn't playing next to Brown and Metcalf. Cleveland is already loaded at wide receiver, but obtaining Hodge this late is a huge steal for Cleveland

  17. Minnesota Vikings: Tyre Brady, WR, Marshall

The Vikings get a big bodied receiver with some speed on tape to develop. Things worked out pretty well the last time the Vikings took a receiver from Marshall.

  18. Baltimore Ravens: L.J. Collier, EDGE, TCU

The Ravens again, building back up the front 7, again. L.J. Collier seems like another player who could push for a roster spot.

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Ryan Bates, OT, Penn State

The Steelers get some depth at tackle. Chukwuma Okorafor is taking over for Marcus Gilbert at right tackle. Okorafor is now known as Chuks so if Chuks ends up being a disaster after sitting out his rookie year, then a new right tackle will be needed so Ryan Bates could get an opportunity in Pittsburgh.

  20. Baltimore Ravens: Khari Willis, S, Michigan State

The Ravens get a tough safety to develop behind Earl Thomas. They could also use Willis for depth behind Tony Jefferson. Either way, Baltimore gets another developmental safety.

  21. Green Bay Packers: Saquon Hampton, S, Rutgers

Hampton is another player that has a lot of love in the scouting community. The Packers would be a perfect place to develop him with Mike Pettine.

  22. Houston Texans: Mike Edwards, S, Kentucky

The end of a safety run. Texans get one of the guys who helped elevate the Kentucky program.

  23. New York Jets: Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn

New York obtains a developmental backup to Sam Darnold. If Stidham does well, the Jets can trade him for draft capital.

  24. Philadelphia Eagles: Olamide Zaccheaus, WR, Virginia

Philadelphia adds another receiver. He's great with yards after the catch and can return kickoffs and punt returns on special teams.

  25. Cincinnati Bengals: Easton Stick, QB, North Dakota State

The Bengals get a guy to push Andy Dalton and maybe even take over eventually. Easton Stick took over for Carson Wentz when Wentz got injured in his draft year before Wentz returned for North Dakota State making him a solid candidate to push Dalton.

  26. Indianapolis Colts: Zack Bailey, G, South Carolina

The Colts finally have a good offensive line. Let's get some quality depth for it here.

  27. Los Angeles Chargers: Darwin Thompson, RB, Utah State

I love Thompson's game. He could be the most elusive back in the draft and reminds me of CJ Spiller.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Lamont Gaillard, C, Georgia

The Chiefs get a guy who can push for the starting center job late. Mitch Morse is no longer a Chief and getting another center to push for a job is needed.

  29. New Orleans Saints: Greg Gaines, DL, Washington

New Orleans gets a defensive tackle. Greg Gaines is a steal in the sixth round.

  30. Los Angeles Rams: Jazz Ferguson, WR, Northwestern State

The brother of LA Tech rusher Jaylen, I think Jazz Ferguson could be a perfect developmental player late. The Rams obtain another weapon here.

  31. Detroit Lions: Trevon Wesco, TE/FB, West Virginia

Wesco is the kind of player every offense needs. He can block and be a playmaker in the pass game.

  32. New England Patriots: E.J. Ejiya, MLB, North Texas

Ej Eiyaja is one of my favorite sleepers. He's a solid off ball LB with some pass rush juice and a good motor.

  33. Washington Redskins: Porter Gustin, EDGE, USC

The Redskins get Gustin who didn't have the Big year people expected him too but still has upside for the NFL. He provides nice depth off the edge.

  34. Pittsburgh Steelers: Demarcus Christmas, DL, Florida State

Pittsburgh gets depth behind Hargrave. Demarcus Christmas is the best player on the board.

  35. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Brett Rypien, QB, Boise State

The Buccaneers get a backup to Jameis Winston. Rypien has a noodle arm, but he knows how to make six progressions like Winston.

  36. Minnesota Vikings: Nate Herbig, G, Stanford

The Vikings should add all the talent they can on the offensive line. Nate Herbig is a great addition for depth at guard for Minnesota.

  37. Cincinnati Bengals: Juwaan-Bushell Beatty, G, Michigan

The Bengals take a solid guard prospect late. A right guard is needed in Cincinnati since they never replaced Kevin Zeitler.

  38. Cincinnati Bengals: Darius Slayton, WR, Auburn

Cincinnati gets Slayton to be a replacement for John Ross if he gets traded. They also bring in some competition for Auden Tate.

  39. San Francisco 49ers: Dontavius Russell, DL, Auburn

The 49ers gets some depth for their first round defensive lineman. Dontavius Russell is a steal in the sixth round.

  40. Cincinnati Bengals: Ricky Walker, DL, Virginia Tech

The Bengals get a solid DT prospect late to again, add to their youth movement. Ricky Walker was the stop gap on Virginia Tech's front 7 after the Edmunds brothers left for the NFL.

  41. Kansas City Chiefs: Darrin Hall, RB, Pittsburgh

Hall is another guy I would bet on succeeding if he just gets a shot in the right place. He has the power and speed combination that teams love.
