Baltimore Ravens: C.J. Mosley, 3-4 MLB, Alabama

Baltimore Ravens Day 1 Draft Grade: (A) Baltimore obtained a starter to compliment Darryl Smith after Arthur Brown finished with a measly 15 tackles in 2013. Brown will make a solid backup to Mosley and Smith. Mosley is not Ray Lewis, but he’s certainly an upgrade over Brown or Courtney Upshaw.

Baltimore Ravens Day 2 Draft Grade: (B-) Baltimore had a pretty subpar day 2. Timmy Jernigan is a 4-3 defensive tackle that will struggle in the 3-4 much like middle linebacker Arthur Brown, who was a 4-3 middle linebacker last year. The fact that the Ravens landed Terrence Brooks as a starting free safety in round 3 is impressive. Brooks was a two-year starter at free safety for Florida State. In 2013, he helped guide Florida State to an undefeated season. Brooks has the versatility to also play strong safety in addition to having an excellent football IQ. Brooks competed in the 2014 Senior Bowl. Baltimore got a steal with Brooks, now they two safeties with him and second-year strong safety Matt Elam. Putting veteran corners like LaDarius Webb and Jimmy Smith next to these guys should help the Ravens’ pass defense in 2014.

Baltimore Ravens Day 3 Draft Grade: (F) Baltimore failed to draft for need. This team needed a right tackle. You also have to criticize the Ravens for taking Keith Wenning over Tajh Boyd. Clearly Ozzie Newsome saw something about Wenning that convinced him he’s better than Tajh Boyd.
