Morgan Epstein grades the Green Bay Packers 2016 NFL Draft. Does Green Bay have a bright future after drafting Kenny Clark with the twenty seventh pick in the 2016 NFL Draft?
27. Kenny Clark, NT, UCLA A+ Grade Grade
Kenny Clark will start at nose tackle right away. This is easily an A+ grade for Green Bay.
48. Jason Spriggs, LT, Indiana B Grade
Jason Spriggs will be a good backup left tackle this season. He could start in 2017 if David Bahktiari is not re-signed.
88. Kyler Fackrell, 3-4 LOLB, Utah State B Grade
Kyler Fackrell is a good backup to Clay Matthews. Matthews turned 30-years-old this offseason, so who knows how many good seasons Matthews has left. Matthews may only be good until Fackrell finishes his rookie contract in four years from now. Either way, Fackrell was a great selection for depth.
131. Blake Martinez, 3-4 MLB, Stanford B+ Grade
Right now Blake Martinez is a backup 3-4 middle linebacker. The guy ahead of him on Green Bay's depth chart is dealing with an injury so there is a chance Martinez sees some playing time right away as a rookie.
137. Dean Lowry, 3-4 LE, Northwestern F Grade
Dean Lowry is a third string 3-4 left end. This was the first pick I really disliked that the Packers made.
163. Trevor Davis, WR, California F Grade
Trevor Davis is the #7 receiver on Green Bay's depth chart. This is another pick I strongly disliked.
200. Kyle Murphy, RT, Stanford C Grade
Kyle Murphy is competing with Don Barclay for the backup right tackle job. Right now Barclay has a slight edge, but Murphy is pushing him.
Green Bay Packers Team Grade: B- Grade
Green Bay got a future Pro Bowler in Kenny Clark. They used their next three picks on backups for depth. This was a good draft by the Green Bay Packers who really put together a draft class that may help Aaron Rodgers win his second Super Bowl.
