2016 NFL Mock Draft: 7 Rounds

Round 2

Mark Sciubba Last Updated: April 22, 2016.

  1. Cleveland Browns: Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor

Coleman is the best receiver left, who could go as early as the top 25. Cleveland's new QB will need a #1 target to throw to, and Coleman, a former Baylor Bear makes a great replacement to Josh Gordon at WR.

  2. Tennessee Titans: Chris Jones, 3-4 LE, Mississippi State

Jurell Casey needs someone else on the defensive line to help him Wreak Havoc. Jones might have the most potential of any DT in the draft.

  3. Dallas Cowboys: William Jackson III, CB, Houston

After both top CBs in Dallas have been let downs, secondary help remains a huge need for Dallas. Jackson has the size all NFL teams covet and is great in man coverage.

  4. San Diego Chargers: Robert Nkemdiche, 3-4 LE, Ole Miss

San Diego needs to start taking risks to get themselves back into the elite of the NFL. Nkemdiche was a top 5 talent before all his off the field issues came to light.

  5. Baltimore Ravens: Artie Burns, CB, Miami FL

Baltimore desperately needs CB help and Burns is the perfect player to do that. Some have concerns his game doesn’t translate to the NFL but I think Burns will be a perfect it in Baltimore.

  6. San Francisco 49ers: Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame

The 49ers desperately need to build up their WR core. Fuller is a receiver with the speed to compliment every offense, and some believe he should be the first chosen.

  7. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama

Ryan Kelly is to good of value to pass up here for the Jaguars. He can come in and be the center a franchise QB needs.

  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kevin Dodd, RE, Clemson

Tampa Bay must build a dominant defense to compliment their young budding offense. Dodd is a bit of a one year wonder but with his size and speed he has all the tools to be an effective pass rusher in the NFL.

  9. New York Giants: Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State

Giants get Miller here to compliment Odell Beckham Jr. and hope that his off the charts athleticism turns him into a key contributor and takes some pressure off OBJ.

  10. Chicago Bears: Germain Ifedi, LT, Texas A&M

Ifedi has all the physical tools to be a starting NFL Tackle and even if that doesn’t work out he could be a dominant guard. Jay Cutler is smiling with this selection.

  11. Miami Dolphins: Karl Joseph, FS, West Virginia

Karl Joseph is a do it all DB, if he can come back to 100%. He’ll a key cog in whoever takes him on defense in 2016.

  12. Tennessee Titans: Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas

All young QBs need a safety blanket tight end to grow with. Delanie Walker isn’t getting younger and getting the number 1 player at a position outside of the first round is always a good pick.

  13. Oakland Raiders: Jason Spriggs, LT, Indiana

Spriggs is another offensive lineman with all the physical tools covet. He can be Oakland’s swing tackle until he's ready to man a starting spot.

  14. Tennessee Titans: Joshua Garnett, LG, Stanford

After Titan’s get the number 1 TE in the draft, they use one of the picks from the Rams to get the number 1 guard. Garnett along with Conklin can transform the offensive line and keep Mariota upright.

  15. Detroit Lions: Shilique Calhoun, LE, Michigan State

The Lions must capitalize on what they have in Ansah by adding a complimentary pass rusher in a guy like Calhoun.

  16. New Orleans Saints: Joshua Perry, ROLB, Ohio State

New Orleans keeps playing it safe and gets an NFL ready LB in Perry.

  17. Indianapolis Colts: Von Bell, FS, Ohio State

The Colts get more defensive help they so desperately need by making this smart pick of a Safety who can start right away.

  18. Buffalo Bills: Keanu Neal, FS, Florida

Keanu Neal is a monster hitter, and maybe the best Safety in the draft. Rex Ryan loves both of those things and adds critical depth at Safety.

  19. Atlanta Falcons: Cody Whitehair, RG, Kansas State

Atlanta started off so well last year because of their ability to run the ball. Half way through the season the interior of their line were getting bullied regularly. Whitehair comes in ready to play all 3 interior OL spots and make sure the Falcon’s run game doesn’t stall out again.

  20. New York Jets: Kamalei Correa, 3-4 LOLB, Boise State

Correa has the build and athleticism that fits what Jets wanna do on defense perfectly.

  21. Houston Texans: Kenny Clark, NT, UCLA

Nose Tackle is a major need for the Texans and they luck out having Kenny Clark available here.

  22. Washington Redskins: Kenneth Dixon, RB, Louisiana Tech

Washington needs to improve their run game, with Dixon and Matt Jones on the roster they now have two quality RBs.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Christian Westerman, LG, Arizona State

Now that the Vikings have a number 1 receiver let’s get Teddy Bridgewater some more time to get the ball out. Westerman should be solid for an NFL team for a long time.

  24. Cincinnati Bengals: Jonathan Bullard, LE, Florida

Bullard can play multiple spots the Bengal’s defense line and excel at it.

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Sheldon Day, DT, Notre Dame

Sheldon day is one of the most underrated players in the draft to me. I think he’s a perfect fit for any 4-3 team and can develop into an Aaron Donald type player.

  26. Green Bay Packers: Jerald Hawkins, RT, LSU

The Packers Offensive Line was atrocious at times last year. Green Bay takes the best remaining offensive lineman and keeps it moving.

  27. Pittsburgh Steelers: Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech

Steelers need help all over the secondary, Fuller fits their scheme perfectly and has great athleticism.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh

Chiefs need to add quality WR’s. Until Jeremy Maclin arrived they might have had the worst Receiving core in the NFL. Boyd can come in and be their number 2 for a long time.

  29. New England Patriots: Leonte Carroo, WR, Rutgers

Bill Belichek loves his Rutgers players and he gets one in a position of need here.

  30. New England Patriots: Cyrus Jones, CB, Alabama

Cyrus Jones can come in and help at Corner and be a core special teams player, two places the Pats need help.

  31. Carolina Panthers: Jeremy Cash, SS, Duke

Cash can come in and be another Safety Linebacker hybrid for the Panthers. Panthers get the secondary help they need with this pick.

  32. Denver Broncos: Jordan Howard, RB, Indiana

Denver’s run game was a huge disapointment to start the year. They hit their stride when it mattered but adding another RB will be key for the Bronco’s offense. Howard has the potential to be better Hillan and Anderson.
