Pittsburgh Steelers Day 1 Draft Grade: (A) Pittsburgh took a guy that has the versatility to play linebacker on the inside or the outside. Ryan Shazier is also capable of registering 100+ tackles on a consistent basis. Starting across from Lawrence Timmons should elevate his confidence.

Pittsburgh Steelers Day 2 Draft Grade: (A-) Pittsburgh now has complete leverage when it comes to the Brett Keisel situation. Many Steelers’ fans will tell you Keisel is the heart of the defense. He has the biggest influence on this defense outside of Troy Polamalu. Keisel may demand more money. Tuitt was a 3-4 defensive end at Notre Dame and will work to earn a supper of a salary in Pittsburgh. Basically the Steelers can part ways with Keisel if he refuses to take the offer the Steelers give him. Dri Archer is a waste of a pick unless he becomes the next Laron Stephens Howling.

Pittsburgh Steelers Day 3 Draft Picks Slideshow

Pittsburgh Steelers Day 3 Draft Grade: (A+) Pittsburgh had an excellent day 3 draft. Bryant was a #2 receiver at Clemson. He will maintain that role across from Antonio Brown in Pittsburgh.

Shaquille Richardson led Arizona with 14 pass break ups at Arizona in 2013. He’s certainly an upgrade over William Gay.

Wesley Johnson can compete to be a backup right tackle. He may surprise people with Mike Munchak as the offensive line coach.

Jordan Zumwalt was an extremely underrated 3-4 middle linebacker at UCLA. Adding him as a backup to Ryan Shazier does wonders for this defense. Apparently size matters in Pittsburgh when it comes to being a nose tackle. Despite adding Cam Thomas in free agency, Pittsburgh also went out and added Daniel McCullers. Rob Blanchflower is a solid tight end, but he’s a backup to Heath Miller at best.
